Anniversary

Jeanene and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary, to celebrate I booked at log cabin at Greer Farm http://www.greerfarm.com in East Texas in a small town called (Daingerfield).

I signed us up for a cooking class on Saturday with Chef Eva at the farm. The class was on Winter Soups and Stews. The class was sold-out, I was the only guy in the class but we had fun learning to create three stocks and then used them to make several soups and a beef brisket chili. The French Onion Soup with the Parmesan flan was the highlight and "to die for" was often heard from other participants.

Saturday evening we decided to stay in so we crashed the local grocery store and raided some select meats, cheeses and fruits. I had packed a 1993 Chianti Reserve that I had purchased the year we were married and before we left for the cooking class started decanting it. The wine, the spread, the company was breathless, we curled up on the couch and watch a movie. Did I mention that the cabin came fully stocked with a kitchenette, Direct TV and wireless internet?

On Sunday we went to Daingerfield State Park and hiked the trails and walked around the lake shooting all the while. The weekend was quite refreshing. Greer Farms is about a 3 hour drive from the Dallas / Fort Worth area and is well worth it, we are already planning the next time we can go back.

January - Baby Bellies

Our first Baby Belly session in 2009 came with a beautiful couple, Neely & Cole, they are expecting February 25th.

They wanted a warm rich environment to evoke the feelings they have for this new life so We turned down the lights and wrapped her in deep reds and chocolate tones.

We had a wonderful time visiting and getting to know them both, I cannot wait to see and photograph the baby girl soon to arrive.

Foray of the Twins

This month we had the opportunity of shooting twins, these two were adorable. Joshua and McCabe were awesome and did great, it was not the usual shoot reposition shoot again, we had a vast array of toys and props at our disposal and they were quite content to just sit and play in front of the camera.

He does look like he's up to no good but he's just having a good time.

I love this photo of Joshua.
